Guterres meets Turkish President
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who is in New York to attend the 80th UN General Assembly, at the UN Headquarters.
In a written statement released by the Spokesperson of the Secretary-General, they exchanged views on Cyprus, the situation in the Middle East, Libya and Ukraine. The Secretary-General and the President also discussed broader UN–Türkiye cooperation, including the Zero Waste Initiative.
