FOREWORD by Resident Coordinator

As Türkiye strides towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), its journey is marked by remarkable progress against hunger, poverty, and in fostering economic growth, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to sustainability. Despite these advances, recent crises, including geopolitical tensions, economic challenges, and the devastating earthquakes of February 2023, have tested our resilience, highlighting the need for agile and inclusive development strategies.
In response, Türkiye has shown admirable resilience, maintaining economic momentum and employment generation amid these adversities. The shift towards stabilizing macroeconomic policies underscores a critical step towards equitable growth, emphasizing the importance of leaving no one behind.

The United Nations in Türkiye aligns its efforts with strategic interventions across key areas such as food security, energy sustainability, digital infrastructure, education, employment, social protection, and environmental stewardship. These efforts are in harmony with Türkiye's 12th National Development Plan (NDP), aiming to catalyze broad-based sustainable development.

Looking ahead, we are committed to a reflective and inclusive approach to our cooperation framework, ensuring it is responsive to Türkiye’s evolving needs and aspirations. This effort seeks to integrate diverse perspectives, crafting a pathway towards a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous future for all.

In partnership with stakeholders, we remain dedicated to navigating the complexities of our times, with the SDGs guiding our collective journey. Our commitment is firm to ensure an inclusive, sustainable future for Türkiye, where no one is left behind.
