Operational update - 15 September 2022 - Black Sea Grain Initiative/Joint Coordination Centre

15 September 2022, ISTANBUL – The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) authorised today the movement of four outbound vessels carrying a total of 69,600 metric tons of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The four commercial vessels authorised to move tomorrow, 16 September, are:

1) BREEZE (IMO 9455650) from Odesa to Hamburg, Germany, carrying 47,200 metric tons of rapeseed.

2) ANNABELLA (IMO 8919788) from Chornomorsk to Constanţa, Romania, carrying 8,500 metric tons of rapeseed.

3) NAVIN VULTURE (IMO 9543328) from Yuzhny/Pivdennyi to Piraeus, Greece, carrying 7,500 metric tons of corn and barley.

4) CS CIHAN (IMO 9045704) from Odesa to Egypt, carrying 6,400 metric tons of soya beans.

In addition, one more vessel is expected to move tomorrow, whose departure today was delayed: OCTOPUS (IMO 9518634) from Yuzhny/Pivdennyi to Constanţa, Romania, carrying 6,500 metric tons of corn.

Destinations indicated are based on information received at the JCC and may change based on commercial activity. Grains that reach a destination may go through processing and be trans-shipped to other countries.

As of 15 September, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 3,259,096 metric tons. A total of 313 voyages (169 inbound and 144 outbound) have been enabled so far.

The JCC concluded today eleven inspections on the following vessels: three inbound, BRIZA (IMO 9286815), ORIS SOFI (IMO 8920282), and S-BRILLIANT (IMO 9275323), and eight outbound, ALSU (IMO 9808742), NORAN (IMO 9175822), OLMA (IMO 8004806), TZAREVICH (IMO 9145229), SEADOVE (IMO 8202525), BRIGHT STAR (IMO 9481960), MERRY M (IMO 8418265), and ELLIE M (IMO 9235854).

The joint teams plan twelve inspections tomorrow on eight inbound and four outbound vessels.

As per procedures agreed at the JCC, all participants coordinate with their respective military and other relevant authorities to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The JCC monitors closely the passage of commercial vessels through the maritime humanitarian corridor.
