Joint Coordination Centre: Over 2 million metric tons of grain and foodstuff exported from Ukraine through Black Sea Grain Initiative

4 September 2022, ISTANBUL – The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) authorised today the movement of three outbound vessels carrying a total of 49,250 metric tons of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
The three commercial vessels authorised to move tomorrow, 5 September, are:
1) MY MERAY (IMO 9000302) from Chornomorsk to Egypt carrying 30,000 metric tons of corn.
2) GOLDEN YARA (IMO 8915299) from Pivdennyi/Yuzhny to Mersin, Türkiye carrying 13,500 metric tons of wheat.
3) BARON (IMO 7352476) from Odesa to Ambarli, Türkiye carrying 5,750 metric tons of corn.
Destinations indicated are based on information received at the JCC and may change based on commercial activity.
As of 4 September, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 2,076,280 metric tons. A total of 187 voyages (100 inbound and 87 outbound) have been enabled so far.
The JCC concluded today twelve inspections on the following vessels: eight inbound vessels, A-LINE (IMO 9246920), CPT DIMITRIOS S (IMO 9221592), NORD STARK (IMO 9691591), PROPUS (IMO 9133757), SEVIL (IMO 9148518), SUPER BAYERN (IMO 9278911), VELVET ROSE (IMO 9281968), and WIN SINO (IMO 9278519), and four outbound vessels: ANASTASIA (IMO 8926121), DAYTONA DYNAMIC (IMO 8914726), HAZAR S (IMO 9545467), and SIMAS (IMO 9000314).
The joint teams plan fifteen inspections tomorrow, eight on inbound vessels and seven on outbound.
As per procedures agreed at the JCC, all participants coordinate with their respective military and other relevant authorities to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
The JCC monitors closely the passage of commercial vessels through the maritime humanitarian corridor.

It comprises senior representatives from the Russian Federation, Türkiye, Ukraine and United Nations and its role is to enable the safe transportation, by merchant ships, of grain and other foodstuffs and fertilizers from three key Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea to the rest of the world.
