Joint Coordination Centre - Operational Update (29 August)

29 August 2022, ISTANBUL – The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) authorized today the movement of six outbound vessels carrying a total of 121,451 metric tons of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
The six commercial vessels authorized to move tomorrow, 30 August, are:
1) SEAJOY (IMO 9213820) from Chornomorsk to Tarragona, Spain, carrying 64,215 metric tons of corn.
2) MICHALIS (IMO 9545510) from Odesa to Cartagena, Spain, carrying 33,000 metric tons of corn
3) SIMAS (IMO 9000314) from Odesa to Italy, carrying 15,000 metric tons of wheat
4) SAFFET AGA (IMO 9376282) from Chornomorsk to Tekirdag, Türkiye, carrying 3,236 metric tons of corn
5) AFANASIY MATYUSHENKO (IMO 8227783) from Chornomorsk to Tekirdag, Türkiye, carrying 3,000 metric tons of wheat
6) LADY ZEHMA (IMO 9303431) from Chornomorsk to Ravenna, Italy, carrying 3,000 metric tons of corn
In addition, KARTERIA (IMO 9236092) from Yuhzny/Pivdennyi to Türkiye, carrying 37,500 metric tons of wheat purchased by the World Food Programme delayed its scheduled departure of today to tomorrow 30 August.
Destinations indicated are based on information received at the JCC and may change based on commercial activity.
As of 29 August, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 1,289,065 metric tons. A total of 122 voyages (67 inbound and 55 outbound) have been enabled so far.
The JCC concluded inspections today on eight inspections: three inbound vessels BC CALLISTO (IMO 9400916), MRC LINA (IMO 9462299), and SARA (IMO 9259020), and five outbound vessels ADNAN TORLAK (IMO 9243253), ORIS SOFI also known as MELA ROSSA (IMO 8920282), PRETTY LADY (IMO 9223174), S BREEZE (IMO 9317145), and ZELEK STAR (IMO 9379117).
The joint teams plan six inspections tomorrow on inbound vessels GENERAL POLAD HASHIMOV (IMO 9575307), KAN 2 (IMO 9154268), LADY PERLA (IMO 9149732), MY MERAY (IMO 9000302), SEA DOLPHIN C (IMO 9486427), and VITIS (IMO 9000613).
As per procedures agreed at the JCC, all participants coordinate with their respective military and other relevant authorities to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
The JCC monitors closely the passage of commercial vessels through the maritime humanitarian corridor.

It comprises senior representatives from the Russian Federation, Türkiye, Ukraine and United Nations and its role is to enable the safe transportation, by merchant ships, of grain and other foodstuffs and fertilizers from three key Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea to the rest of the world.
