WHO Turkey Representative Dr. Berdyklychev: "We are joining the call to end all forms of violence against women and inviting you to be part of these efforts"

"WHO recognizes violence, particularly domestic violence, as a serious public health problem" says World Health Organization Country Office in Turkey Representative Dr. Batyr Berdyklychev.
He emphasized that there are many health consequences of violence against women. These are:
Violence may contribute to the development of depression, cardiovascular diseases, eating disorders and even suicide attempts;
Sexual violence exposes women to sexually transmitted infections, higher risk of miscarriages and pre-term birth.
Dr. Batyr Berdyklychev invites everyone to be part of the efforts to end forms of violence against women.
